Project Kharak

ISHI, Project Kharak, India

An initiative by Project Kharak, Ishi is a tri-annual publication by and for the youth of the Tangkhul Naga Tribe in Manipur, India. The project aims to create a space for young creatives to start a conversation about their roots, mobilise their voices and to express, discuss and debate their views, opinions and ideas in a proactive way. This will be a platform to represent and redefine their cultural identity, as well as to create a sense of connection to their heritage. Any free forms of expression such as writing, photography, illustration, or short films will be a part of the publication.
