The Prince Claus Fund supports exceptionally creative individuals at crucial moments in their professional careers through three different awards. These are:

  • Prince Claus Seed Awards for emerging talent whose innovative work engages with pressing social issues (selected through an open call)
  • Prince Claus Mentorship Awards for cultural practitioners further along in their careers whose work is having a positive impact on their societies. This award offers space to learn, grow and experiment through thematic mentorships (selected through an open call)
  • Prince Claus Impact Awards for more established artists who are becoming role models and whose achievements deserve greater recognition, will be awarded every two years. They are selected from closed nominations.

Calls for Prince Claus Seed Awards and Prince Claus Mentorship Awards will be open at different times of year and announced on our website.

The Cultural Emergency Response (CER) is open to applications for urgent help to rescue threatened cultural heritage whenever a critical situation arises. In 2022 CER will become an independent entity. During 2021 it remains under the Prince Claus umbrella. Criteria for the applications can be found here.
