Daniel Eduardo Seed Awards recipient

Daniel Eduardo is a freelance photographer, director of photography, and documentarian based in Brazil. Daniel’s visual language explores the city streets, the favela's alleys, public transportation, and the youth in marginalized communities as his visual language, his work falling within the lineage of street photography. Daniel is the founder of the “Click na Favela” project, which operates in his home base Paraisopolis, a favela in Sao Paulo. He was one of the winners and awardees at the 2021 Photothings Festival, where his first book, "PARAISOPOLIS MEU MUNDO", was published. As a director of photography, he contributed to the Netflix documentary "Convergencia", and he also directed the short film "Mas eu nao sou alguem?", which won awards in the Narrative and Audience categories at the Sao Paulo Film Festival. Additionally, in 2022 Daniel was a finalist at the 50th Gramado Festival and won the Best National Film at the Muriae Festival.
