Budoor Al Abid Seed Awards recipient

Budoor Al Abid is a filmmaker, screenwriter, and founder of RAW Media Production from Iraq. She was awarded a grant by COP26 to produce a documentary film on the impact of climate change on the Iraqi marshes. The resulting film, “The Marshes of Iraq” won the Silver Award for Best Documentary Film in the 4th Meihodo International Film Festival. As an alumni of British Council’s Future News Worldwide programme (2019), Budoor has also worked as Digital Journalist for data-driven stories for DW Academy and as Youth Arab Media Leader at the Youth Arab Center in Dubai.
