Anomaa Rajakaruna

Anomaa Rajakaruna is a filmmaker, photographer, and curator based in Sri Lanka. She has traveled extensively in Sri Lanka, documenting the lives of community groups, particularly the lives of women and children for over 30 years. Her work addresses issues such as women in armed conflict, displacement, and violence against women. She has won several awards for her documentary films and photography, both nationally and internationally. Anomaa is the first female editor of a cinema journal in Sri Lanka and she also edited "Chithrapata", a quarterly cinema magazine published by the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka. 

Anomaa is the founder of the Agenda 14 Short Film Festival in Colombo and she is also the Festival Director of the only international film festival in Sri Lanka, Jaffna International Cinema Festival.
