"Xiao Wu" (Pickpocket) was the first feature film by Chinese filmmaker, 2010 Prince Claus Laureate Jia Zhangke. Released in the 1990’s, it received various international awards and praise, including from American filmmaker Martin Scorsese. It tells the story of a small town pickpocket who finds himself unable to adapt to changing realities.
The movie was available to watch during the Festival on 8-9 December only.
