Visit to Shajar al-Durr Dome and Khalifa Community Centre

As part of the 2023 Mobile Lab Egypt programme, participants paid a visit to Shajar al-Durr Dome, which underwent a major reconstruction and preservation process directed by architect and 2022 Prince Claus Impact Awardee, May al-Ibrashy, and the Khalifa Community Centre with Athar Lina: an initiative that aims to protect and promote the heritage of the al-Khalifa district in Cairo and utilize it to support the local community's wellbeing. In addition, participants also visited Al-Khalifa Heritage Park, which was designed and executed by both Megawra—Built Environment Collective and Athar Lina.
