Taskent-Tbilisi (Syg.ma Reading Room), Syg.ma, Uzbekistan

Furqat Palvan-Zade, co-founder of online arts platform syg.ma, proposes a critical pedagogical platform based around lectures and film-screenings in Central Asian history, contemporary art, decolonial discourse, and feminist theory. The project will be based in Tashkent and will be shared via the syg.ma social media channels and through telegram. It aims to expose young interested people in Uzbekistan and other central Asian countries to idea surrounding gender and decolonization, and help create a new community of young writers, translators and readers in Tashkent.
