The dance "Corpo é" (Body is) is the result of a dance residency of five Brazilian choreographers together with students from the Intensive Training in Dance Core of the Escola Livre de Dança da Maré. Located in the favela Maré in Rio de Janeiro, the Escola is a project of 2014 Prince Claus Laureate, dancer and choreographer Lia Rodrigues, whose company partners with the NGO Redes de Maré.

Originally commissioned and produced by the Prince Claus Fund for its 25th Anniversary Festival: 25 Years 25 Hours.
