Lab Nuvem Negra de Narrativas Negras, Coletivo Nuvem Negras, Brazil

The project is proposed by a collective of students and former students from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Responding to the underrepresentation of black Brazilians, particularly black women and LGBT+ people, the collective’s activities involve events and interventions as well as the yearly publication of a journal, all of which are aimed at creating space for black narratives in the cultural space. They also carry out school visits in the state of Rio de Janeiro to promote education around afro-Brazilian history and culture.
