Sara Younes Mentorship Awards recipient

Sara Younes is an Egyptian visual storyteller. After completing her bachelor's in Mass Media, she began a video and photojournalism career. Younes uses photography to examine mental and spatial boundaries, her own existential questions and the surroundings of her city, Alexandria. She has been part of the art residency Roznama 7 Studio Program and many photography and video workshops. Younes' work has been featured at Roznama 5, PhotoCairo 6 and Arab Street II and published in the British Journal of Photography's book Portrait of Humanity with Magnum Photos (2019).
