Halima Masoud Seed Awards recipient

Halima Masoud is a Tanzania-born and based contemporary dance artist, trainer of contemporary and traditional dance and a yoga instructor. Inspired by urban street dancers at a young age, she has three dance certificates and a diploma in Dance and Contemporary Dance Training from Muda African Dance School and has been actively working in the field since 2017. She dances and choreographs in an all-women dance company in Dar es Salaam, making dance pieces that address women issues in Tanzanian society. She aims to provide a platform for women through performing arts and entrepreneurship.
