Atefe Moeini is an artist working primarily with the photographic image based in Iran. Her work explores themes of identity, gender, politics, and violence. Moeini has completed a long-term photobook program with the Penumbra Foundation and Image Threads. In 2021, she was a grant recipient of the Tbilisi Photo Festival program “Isolated communities: New Narratives, New Ways of Being and Living”. Her work has been published in the British Journal of Photography and the New York Times.
