Alfredo Ramirez Raymond Seed Awards recipient

Alfredo Ramirez Raymond is a designer based in Ecuador. He is a master’s student of Design Expanded Practices at Goldsmiths, University of London and has worked for an NGO in his hometown Guayaquil, where he implemented design-oriented problem-solving programmes for high school students with the aim of addressing problematic situations in their communities. Raymond is interested in unconventional research environments, design as learning, as well as playful and performative making. His work questions hegemonic stories of perpetual production, growth and insatiable consumption in a finite world.
