publications

Here you can find a variety of publications the Prince Claus Fund has released throughout the years: the Prince Claus Fund Journal, the Prince Claus Award Books and the Prince Claus Fund Reader. Furthermore, the Fund has supported a series of cultural magazines that are considered to be of great influence in the debate on culture and development.

Prince Claus Fund Journal

The Prince Claus Fund Journal (tag: inhouse) reflects the aims of the Prince Claus Fund and reports on the outcome of activities initiated, supported and stimulated by the Fund. The Fund seeks to publicise the intellectual and artistic results of its activities and to disseminate these throughout the world. The Fund – and likewise the Journal – acts as an interested listener, a partner in discussion and a catalyst in cultural innovation and development.

Award Books

The Prince Claus Awards Book (tag: inhouse) is published once a year to present the Prince Claus Awards. This English-language publication contains informative articles about each of the laureates, the report of the Awards Committee and a contribution of one of the Fund’s Honorary Chairmen.

Reader

The Prince Claus Fund Reader (tag: reader) presents a thematic selection of the extensive publishing practices of the Fund. This selection includes the Prince Claus Fund Journal, the Prince Claus Awards Books, the books published under the Prince Claus Fund Library imprint, and cultural magazines supported by the Fund. The Reader offers a fresh view into the history of the Fund. In making unexpected connections, even articles from the earliest days find relevance.

Cultural magazines

The Prince Claus Fund supports cultural magazines from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean that focus on Culture and Development. The Fund strongly believes that magazines, acting as a barometer of shifting attitudes, play an important role in the international debate about culture and development.
