Frontiers of Reality talk show in delamar theatre on 16 december
The Talk Show will address current, urgent and controversial issues in a world where perceptions are dominated by prejudice. Under the inspiring guidance of well respected journalist of the BBC and Al Jazeera, Rageh Omaar, the Talk Show will address different and changing realities in Iran and Afghanistan, countries that are mostly in the news because of war and oppression. A national and international view on ‘reality’ in the Netherlands will also be discussed by various thinkers and journalists. Rageh Omaar will talk to among others:
Maziar Bahari, journalist/filmmaker, Iran, writes for Newsweek, co-editor of the Prince Claus Fund Library publication Transit Tehran: Young Iran and Its Inspirations;
Thomas Erdbrink, journalist, the Netherlands, the Iran-based Middle East correspondent for The Washington Post the Dutch and the daily NRC Handelsblad;
Nader Nadery, Member of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission, chair of the Free and Fair Elections Agency (FEFA), Kabul, Afghanistan;
Jolyon Leslie, erstwhile-CEO Aga Khan Trust, Afghanistan, architect, co-author of Afghanistan: the Mirage of Peace;
Russell Shorto, author and director of the John Adams Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, writes for the New York Times Magazine;
Samira Bouchibti, journalist and former member of parliament for the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA), the Netherlands.
