The Prince Claus Fund is an Institution for General Benefit (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling, ANBI), with the special status of 'Cultural Institution'. The Prince Claus Fund endorses the SBF-Code and the Good Governance Code for Cultural Organisations – the 9 principles. The Prince Claus Fund acts in accordance with the regulations of these codes. The principles of good governance, which first and foremost concern the separation of functions, good governance and accountability, are embedded in the internal regulation. Tax deduction for donors of a cultural organisation
According to the Gift Act (2012) an individual gift of maximum € 5000 a year to an organization with ANBI status may be multiplied by 125%. Gifts above € 5000 are deductible without multiplier. A 1% threshold and 10% ceiling applies for tax-deductible gifts. A Torchbearer supporting the Fund with a gift of € 10.000, effectively pays € 4150 after tax deduction.
- Maximum benefit with periodic donations:
Periodic donations are completely deductible from the income tax, without a threshold of 1% or ceiling of 10%.
Since 2014 no notarial deed is required to process periodic donations. A written agreement between you and the Prince Claus Fund is sufficient. An example of such an agreement you can find here.

Remuneration policy: The Prince Claus Fund has its own remuneration policy. Salaries are indexed on a yearly basis according the corrected consumers index of households of CBS. All contracts include job descriptions. The salary of the director is stipulated by the board and is published in the annual report according to the CBF regulations. Board members receive no remuneration.
